Well, wording of the article reminds me of me roughly 20 years ago. But, to serious matters:
Now I have a child attending high school and there they thing "IT basics" means "MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint". 1/2 twitter.com/swardley/statu…
2/3 Paradigm changes aside, we do have a PC but… with Linux. And no desire to purchase MS stuff when there is @LibreOffice around for those "basic IT tasks".
So now I'm sort of surprised, since I have not anticipated for my "MS troubles" to stick around for 20 years.
